
U.S. Citizenship & Naturalization
Lawful Permanent Residents can generally apply for naturalization after 5 years of holding lawful permanent resident status. In addition, permanent residents must also meet the following requirements:

Be at least 18 years old

Live in the state you will apply for at least 3 months

Demonstrate continuous residence for at least 5 years

Show that you have been physically present in the U.S. for at least 30 months
